Ever since then, Everyone has been waiting for the the introduction of Google pages for a long time. Google last week launched Google Plus (G+) brand pages where business can advertise their products and businesses. This is much similar to the brand pages that one would find in Facebook. Users can promote business, artist or a band.
There are a lot of similarities between Facebook brand pages and G+ brand pages that caused as a online brand strategy. Since the launch of Google Plus (G+) brand pages there have been several businesses and brands who have created brand pages on Google plus. Most of the applications and the features available are very similar to the ones that one would see in Facebook and its brand pages. Just like in the personal profiles, Brand pages also have circles where users can be added to the default circles such as following, customers and team members.

Brands can share photos and videos of themselves on their wall. This is the same feature that is available for personal profiles.

Google plus even lets a user create multiple fan pages from a single account.
Some features Google Plus (G+) doesn’t have:
Google Plus (G+) Multiple Admins:
Google Plus doesn’t have the multiple admins option like the one available in Facebook. I cant think of any reason why they wouldn’t put this option in brand pages.
Google Plus (G+) Vanilty URL’s:
Brands can have their custom URL’s. They have to make due with the URL’s that are provided by Google Plus By default.
Google Plus (G+) Pages cannot follow People:
If you have created a brand page for your business, it is not possible for you to follow people as a page. You will have to follow them from your personal profile.
Google Plus (G+) Pages and Profiles:
It is extremely difficult for users to distinguish between personal profiles and brand pages during a search as well as when they are viewing the profile. There is only a small symbol on that allows users to distinguish between the two.
Google Plus (G+) Brand pages have been out only for a few days now and These still the early days and we hope that they will change few of the features that are available presently on G+ brand pages and come up with something that is entirely new and exciting that can be really helpful for businesses for online marketing as well as users.
